Scholarship Overview

Fort Randall Federal Credit Union believes education is one of the strongest pathways to long-term financial success. To support students as they pursue their academic and career goals, Fort Randall Federal Credit Union proudly awards three $1,000 scholarships each year to qualifying members continuing their education.

The Fort Randall FCU Scholarship is designed to recognize students who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and responsible use of credit union services—while encouraging smart financial habits that last well beyond graduation.

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the Fort Randall Federal Credit Union Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a Fort Randall Federal Credit Union member prior to July 2025

  • Be the primary member on an account in good standing

  • Plan to attend or be currently enrolled in:

    • An accredited two-year or four-year college or university, or

    • An accredited technical or vocational school

  • Be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5

  • Complete the semester they are enrolled in during the year the scholarship is awarded (2026)

How Applications Are Judged

Scholarship recipients are selected by impartial judges chosen by Fort Randall FCU. Applications are scored using the following criteria:

25 Points

25 Points

Up to 25 Points
Includes savings, checking, CDs, online/mobile banking, debit or ATM cards, loan products, and e-statements.

Essay

50 points
The essay prompt asks applicants to reflect on how Fort Randall FCU provides pathways to achieving financial success.

Upon submission, all application materials become the property of Fort Randall Federal Credit Union.
