ABOUT

Rooted in Community. Focused on our Members.

Welcome to Ft. Randall Federal Credit Union

Since 1951, Ft. Randall Federal Credit Union has proudly served the people of South-Central South Dakota. From our start in Pickstown to our growth in Wagner and Platte, we believe in one thing: people helping people.

As a member-owned, not-for-profit credit union, we exist to support your financial well-being, not to turn a profit. We center every decision we make around helping our members grow, succeed, and feel confident about their finances.

Charter

In 1951, Ft. Randall Federal Credit Union was chartered to serve local federal employees of the Pickstown School District and their immediate family members.

The field of membership was expanded in November of 1990 to a community-wide charter to serve anyone who lives or works in Charles Mix County and their family members. In July 2002, the charter was further expanded to include anyone who worships, volunteers, or attends school in Charles Mix County. In May 2004, Ft. Randall Federal Credit Union opened its first branch in Platte. In June 2016, the field of membership was extended to include anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Brule, Bon Homme, Charles Mix, Douglas, Gregory, or Hutchinson Counties in South Dakota.

Community

Being part of the community isn’t just something we say—it’s something we live out every day.

At Ft. Randall Federal Credit Union, we support local schools. We sponsor youth financial education and volunteer our time for important causes. We are proud to give back to the towns that have supported us for many years. This includes parades, fundraisers, classroom visits, and community events.
